Ms Jane Coram is an influential, strategic and people-focussed natural resources leader, experienced in working at the interface of science and decision-making. She has been Director of Land and Water with CSIRO over the past four and a half years, and was formerly the CEO of the National Measurement Institute, and Acting Chief Scientist and Groundwater Branch Head at Geosciences Australia.
Earlier in her career, Jane was a senior hydrogeologist at the Bureau of Rural Sciences, associate lecturer at Monash University, project officer in the Victorian Environment Department, and secondary school teacher in the Victorian Education Department. She is motivated by facilitating and empowering diverse groups and people. She holds an M.Sc. in Hydrogeology (Melb), a B.Sc. in Earth Sciences (Melb), and a Dip.Ed (Melb); and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
