Chris is an experienced land and water management practitioner and organisational leader, with extensive experience bringing together government policy, community values, science, knowledge and a systems/resilience approach to improve catchment health.

Chris is motivated to achieve better and lasting outcomes for the environment and communities, and has a strong belief in the power of the collective. Chris has worked with the Traditional Owners, rural communities and stakeholders that manage, influence and determine the use and protection of natural resources across public and private land. Chris’s strengths lie in building partnerships, opportunities and pathways to deliver impactful land and water management solutions.

Chris’s extensive knowledge and connections have been built over a 30 year career across the agriculture, water and natural resource management sectors. This includes as a farmer, a Landcare/Farming Systems Group CEO (Holbrook Landcare Network), General Manager Of Central Tablelands Local Land Services (NSW) and CEO of Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority (Vic).

Chris is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the University of Melbourne.
